I just want an app exactly like this for myself with the questions that I think useful to myself and I feel this is a good personal side project to share.

Yes, this game asof this format will be always free to play. There will be no advertisement and no sponsor content ever. I might setup a donation link to support this project later on to offset some cost.

Speed Rating measures how quickly and accurately you solve problems. It's calculated as: (correct answers) / (time in seconds). A higher Speed Rating means you're solving more problems correctly in less time. For example, getting 20 correct in 60 seconds gives a Speed Rating of 0.333. If you have another good metric, feel free to send a recommendataion through Contact.

Problems are generated using a seeded random number generator, which ensures fairness and reproducibility. Each game session has a unique seed, and the same seed will always produce the same set of problems. This means your results can be verified and compared fairly.

Easy: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers. Medium: Adds decimal operations and power calculations (squares, cubes). Hard: Includes logarithms and more complex calculations. Expert: All problem types with larger numbers and more difficult calculations.

Your score is simply the number of correct answers out of 23 total problems. Answers must be exact (or very close for decimals). There's no penalty for wrong answers, so always submit your best guess!

Decimal answers are accepted with a tolerance of 0.01. For example, if the correct answer is 3.14159, entering 3.14 or 3.15 would be marked correct. This allows for reasonable rounding without requiring excessive precision. You don't need to worry about matching every decimal place exactly.

It is a prime number and 47 or 53 is a little bit too much; especially when things getting difficult.

Everyone who wants to practice mental math skill is welcome. I am definitely aware this is not for elementary kids who learning math, I might make some levels with specific purpose as my young child learning math.

I believe math is a precision game.

You don't have to sign in to play the game. Signing in allows you to: track your game history, see your best Speed Ratings per difficulty, compare your progress over time, and appear on leaderboards. Your games are still counted in global statistics even without signing in, but you won't have access to personal stats.

If you're signed in, I will know your email, when you play, the level you play, how long it take and the score. That's it. I don't want any of your data. If you're not signed in, I only know someone play a game at a given time.

The displayed difficultity level is how the problem group together. You might feel expert level is very simple or you might feel easy level is very hard. This app is designed to compete with yourself, so don't worry about the level name.

I am not an expert about this topic. My personal experience is I memorize and practice a lot. For instance, I memorize 2^20 = 1048576 since I learned what is MB(megabyte), everytime I see a clock like 17:45, I just automatically calculate 17 x 45 = 765 without hesitation. It's kind of internalize for me.
